• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford engine cooling fan shroud for 18-20 F-150. The shroud is the molded housing that surrounds the engine cooling fan, ducting air pulled by the fan through the radiator and condenser cores to maximize heat rejection at idle and low road speed. It is a structural part of the cooling pack and is sized to specific clearance between fan blade tip and shroud bore for this combination of engine and fan motor. A cracked or distorted shroud lets airflow blow back around the fan blades, which lowers cooling efficiency on hot days and at long idle, and broken mounting tabs let the shroud move in the engine bay where the fan can contact the radiator or other underhood structure. This OEM shroud is the direct service replacement, installing on the original mounts with the original retention pattern. Inspect the fan motor and blade set when the shroud is out, and replace any worn isolators or clips at the same time. Verify clean fan rotation and no contact through the full sweep before reinstalling the engine cover and reconnecting the battery for fan testing.
