This is the genuine Ford alternator pulley that mounts on the front of the charging alternator and receives rotational drive from the serpentine accessory belt, spinning the alternator rotor so it can generate charging current for the battery and electrical system. It fits 2018-2020 F-150 as well as Expedition and Navigator models equipped with the 3.3L Ti-VCT gas V6 or the 3.0L Power Stroke turbo diesel, covering both single and dual alternator configurations and non-hybrid applications. A worn or seized pulley, or a failed overrunning decoupler where equipped, commonly announces itself through belt chirp or squeal, a whine from the front of the engine, belt flutter at idle, accessory belt slippage, or an undercharging battery and an illuminated charge warning. Installing the correct genuine Ford pulley restores proper belt tracking and clutch action. Inspect the accessory belt and tensioner while the pulley is off, and verify the charging output after installation.
