It is the driver-side counterpart to the passenger-side mount plate and shares the same general construction, with mirrored geometry suited to the driver-side bumper mounting position. The plate provides the primary mounting interface between the bumper face bar and the chassis frame, transferring impact loads from the bumper to the frame structure and maintaining the bumper's position against driving forces.
