• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford intake manifold gasket for 18-20 F-150 and Mustang equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. It is the sealing element that sits between the intake manifold and the cylinder heads, sealing air paths from the runners into the combustion chambers and isolating the engine from vacuum or air leaks at this joint. The gasket is supplied as the cylinder head-to-intake seal and on this engine is included with a complete intake manifold service kit at the factory level. Construction uses a metal carrier with elastomer sealing rings that key into manifold and head recesses so that the gasket cannot shift during installation or service. A leaking intake gasket on the 5.0L Coyote shows up as a vacuum leak at idle, rough cold idle, and lean fuel trims that the controller cannot correct, especially after a manifold has been removed for spark plug, fuel injector, or supercharger service. Install on clean and flat sealing surfaces, follow the Ford-published bolt torque sequence, and clear stored fuel trim adapts so the engine relearns short-term trims against a properly sealed intake.
