This is a genuine Ford disc brake caliper for the rear passenger (right-hand) position on 2018-2020 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with the electric parking brake. The caliper houses the piston that clamps the brake pads against the rotor to slow and stop the truck, and on this application it also integrates with the electronic parking brake actuator. Calipers are replaced when the piston seizes or sticks, seals leak brake fluid, the bore corrodes, the slide function binds causing uneven pad wear or brake drag, or the parking-brake function fails. Installing the correct genuine caliper restores even clamping force, proper fluid sealing, and correct electric parking brake operation. This unit is built to Ford dimensional and hydraulic specifications for a direct fit to the factory bracket and brake line. After installation, bleed the brake hydraulic system, cycle and recalibrate the electric parking brake per the service procedure, and confirm a firm pedal and proper pad contact before returning the truck to service.
