• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford fuse box cover for the battery junction box on the 18-21 Expedition and the 18-20 F-150. The cover snaps over the battery junction box in the engine compartment to shield the high-current connections, fuse cartridges, and mini-fuses from underhood moisture, road salt spray, and accidental contact during engine bay service. The underside of a genuine cover carries the printed fuse layout for the application, which helps identify the correct circuit during electrical diagnosis. Replacement covers are needed when the original is cracked, missing, or warped from heat, or when retention tabs have broken off from repeated removal and reinstallation. A loose or missing cover allows water into the junction box, which corrodes terminals, promotes intermittent electrical faults across the truck, and in severe cases produces high-current shorts to chassis ground. The genuine part carries the correct retention tab geometry and snap-fit dimensions for the junction box; non-OEM covers sometimes fit loosely or do not seat fully against the box rim. Installation is typically a press-on procedure: align the cover over the box, press down evenly until all retention tabs snap into place, and verify that the cover lies flat against the box body without gaps. The cover is sold as the individual piece without the underlying junction box, fuses, or wiring.
