This is the Genuine Ford serpentine accessory drive belt for 18-21 F-150 with the 3.0L Power Stroke diesel engine. The belt is a multi-rib elastomer-cord belt sized to the exact wrap geometry of the 3.0L diesel front accessory drive, routing power from the crankshaft pulley to the alternator, water pump, AC compressor, and tensioner. Belt life on this engine is affected by oil contamination, heat, and the pulley alignment behavior of the tensioner. A glazed, cracked, or chunked belt should be replaced as a wear item, and a worn belt is also a precursor to alternator and tensioner failures. The OEM Motorcraft-spec construction returns the engine to factory drive geometry without the noise complaints common to mismatched non-OEM belts on this engine. Replace with the engine cool, follow the Ford routing diagram for the 3.0L diesel, and verify tensioner operation across its sweep before reinstalling. Inspect each accessory pulley for free rotation and any sign of edge contact, and replace pulleys and tensioners that show roughness during this service.
