• Description:

  This Genuine Ford front ABS wheel speed sensor fits 18-22 F-150, Expedition, and Navigator trucks with four-wheel drive. It crosses to Motorcraft BRAB588. The sensor reads a toothed reluctor at the hub and provides individual wheel speed data to the antilock brake control module, which uses the signal to manage ABS modulation, traction control, electronic stability control, hill descent, and trailer sway control. A failing sensor typically causes intermittent or steady ABS, traction, or stability warning lights, sometimes accompanied by a hard pedal or pulsing during light braking; diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the ABS module identifying the affected corner. The 4WD-specific harness routing and the connector polarization differ from the 2WD variant, so use of the correct part number is essential. Inspect the reluctor for damage, missing teeth, or metal debris collection at the magnet tip during installation. Apply a thin coating of high-temperature anti-seize at the sensor barrel, torque the retaining bolt to the published specification, route the harness clear of the brake hose and lower control arm, and clear codes after the install to confirm the new sensor is recognized.
