• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford throttle body mounting gasket for 18-22 F-150 and Mustang 5.0L applications, and for the E-350 Super Duty 7.3L and F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty 7.3L Godzilla V8 engines on this service number. It is the sealing element between the throttle body and the intake manifold mating flange, sized to the engineered bolt pattern and the calibrated air path for each application. Construction is a metal carrier with an elastomer seal that keys into the intake recess so the gasket cannot shift during throttle body installation. A leaking throttle body gasket is a common cause of cold-start rough idle, of small unmetered air leaks the controller cannot fully trim out, and of vacuum noise at idle. This OEM service gasket installs on clean and flat sealing surfaces, with the throttle body bolts torqued in the published Ford sequence and value. After replacement, clear stored fuel trims so the engine relearns short-term trim against a properly sealed throttle body, and verify smooth idle and no vacuum noise before returning the vehicle to service.
