• Description:

  This bumper cover end support rail is the structural inner reinforcement for 18-23 Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost and 5.0L. The rail sits between the outer bumper cover and the front structure, supporting the bumper cover at its end where the cover meets the fender. Replacement is most often required after collision damage that has separated the cover from its support or that has deformed the rail itself. The rail is stamped steel and cannot be straightened reliably once bent; the part must be replaced as a unit. Installation uses the factory mounting points at the bumper structure and the fender flange. After installation, verify that the bumper cover end seats flush to the fender without gap or step, since a properly installed rail draws the cover into the fender plane. A residual gap after installation indicates either misalignment of the rail or that an adjacent panel is bent and needs separate attention before the bumper alignment will hold.
