• Description:

  This front license plate bracket is the dealer service mount for 18-23 Mustang. The bracket attaches the front license plate to the front bumper cover and is supplied for jurisdictions that require front plate display. Vehicles delivered new to jurisdictions without a front plate requirement typically left the factory without this bracket installed; later sale into a front-plate state requires the bracket be added to bring the vehicle into compliance. Installation involves attaching the bracket to factory mounting points integrated into the bumper structure; on most vehicles no drilling is required since the points are pre-engineered. The bracket is supplied with the necessary screws and provides the bolt pattern that accepts the plate itself. Replacement of an existing bracket is usually motivated by collision damage or by corrosion of the original aluminum or steel bracket. Verify that the bracket sits flush to the bumper cover after installation; a tilted bracket lifts the plate edge into airflow and can be picked off by wind at highway speed.
