This Genuine Ford Motorcraft CM-5265 fuel injector is the lower (port) injector for the 2018-2023 Mustang GT 5.0L Coyote V8, which uses a dual port-and-direct injection fuel system. The lower port injector sprays fuel into the intake runner on a PCM-commanded schedule to support the direct injectors, providing the correct air-fuel mixture for smooth idle, strong power and clean emissions. A failing, clogged or leaking injector typically produces rough idle, misfire, hard starting, hesitation, loss of power, poor fuel economy, a raw-fuel smell, fouled spark plugs, and a check-engine light with misfire or injector-circuit trouble codes. This is the genuine Motorcraft injector manufactured to Ford's original flow rate and spray-pattern specification so it matches the factory calibration for this engine.
