This genuine Ford instrument cluster lens is the clear protective mask that mounts over the face of the gauge cluster on the 2018-2023 Mustang, sitting between the printed gauge dials and the driver behind the instrument panel bezel. It shields the speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temperature gauge graphics and the message center from dust and contact while providing the correct optical clarity and anti-glare surface for the high series cluster. This lens is the version used with the high series instrument cluster and is normally included as part of a complete cluster assembly. Owners replace the lens when it is scratched, hazed, cracked or clouded, or when it was damaged during a cluster repair or dash disassembly and the gauges become hard to read through it. Installation involves removing the instrument panel bezel and the cluster, then transferring or seating the lens onto the cluster housing, taking care to keep the inner surface free of fingerprints and dust that would show against the backlit dials.
