This radiator support assembly, also called the front end assembly, is the dealer service unit for 18-24 Ford Edge applications. The radiator support is the front structural panel that mounts the radiator, condenser, headlamps, and front bumper structure into the body. Replacement is required after front-end collision damage that has bent or torn the radiator support, when corrosion has weakened the structure, or when previous repair work has compromised the support's geometry. The assembly is a stamped and welded steel structure; once bent, it cannot reliably be straightened to factory specification and must be replaced. Installation requires the front bumper, headlamps, radiator, and condenser to be removed for access. After installation, verify front-end alignment by checking the panel gaps from the hood to the fenders, fender alignment to the doors, and bumper alignment to the fenders.
