  This is a genuine Ford lift gate glass latch, cataloged as a window lock, for the flip-up rear liftgate window on the 2018 through 2024 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. The latch secures the openable rear glass to the liftgate and releases it when the flip-glass is opened for quick access to the cargo area without raising the entire gate. It engages the striker and holds the glass shut and sealed against the weatherstrip while driving. Owners replace this latch when the rear flip glass will not stay closed, rattles or lifts at speed, fails to release when the switch is pressed, or when the release actuator or latch mechanism sticks and the glass no longer opens or secures reliably.
