This genuine Ford roof rack cover is the rear end cap that snaps over the back termination of the factory roof side rail on the Ford Expedition, concealing the rail mounting point and giving the roof rack a finished factory appearance while helping keep water and debris out of the mounting hardware. It fits 2018 through 2024 Ford Expedition models on the 122.5 inch standard wheelbase and is the rear position cover for the roof side rail assembly. These caps are commonly lost or broken because they are exposed to sun, car washes, and repeated roof cargo loading and unloading; the plastic tabs become brittle over time and the cap can crack, fade, or pop off entirely, leaving an open cavity at the rear of the roof rail. Replacing the cap restores the clean factory look and re-covers the exposed rail termination so grime and moisture do not collect at that point.
