• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford rear or lower oxygen sensor for 18-24 F-150 equipped with 5.0L, 2.7L, or 3.3L engines and for 2.7L Edge, supplied as the updated service version that supersedes JL3Z-9G444-A and applies to vehicles built from an MY17 cut-in date forward. It is the post-catalyst downstream HEGO sensor that the PCM uses to evaluate catalyst efficiency and to provide secondary fuel trim correction on these engine families. The sensor is calibrated to the specific exhaust pulse, harness length, and connector that the truck uses for the downstream position, and the OEM construction provides the response time and signal integrity required for catalyst efficiency monitoring. A failing downstream sensor commonly shows as P0420 or P0430 catalyst efficiency codes that cannot be cleared by other means. Install with the exhaust cool, anti-seize on the threads where Ford specifies, the published torque value applied, and the connector seated fully into the body harness. Clear fault codes and run the Ford readiness drive cycle to confirm the catalyst monitor completes without recurring fault.
