• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford ignition wire assembly, also called the spark plug wire, for 18-24 F-150 and Mustang equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. The assembly is the shielded conductor that connects the secondary coil to the secondary spark plug in the dual-plug per cylinder ignition system used on this engine, sized to the engine bay routing and length on this generation of Ford 5.0L. Wire construction uses an OEM-spec core and silicone jacket rated for the underhood temperature and the high-voltage discharge of the secondary ignition circuit. A failed wire shows up as a misfire that follows the wire when swapped to another cylinder, a P0300-family code that points to a specific cylinder, and rough running that worsens in damp conditions. Replacement is appropriate as a wear item at high mileage, after a confirmed wire failure, or as part of a coil and plug refresh.
