• Description:

  Genuine Ford OEM fuel tank evaporative pressure sensor for 2018 through 2025 Expedition and F-150 platforms. The sensor monitors absolute pressure in the evap system between the fuel tank and the purge valve, and the PCM uses its signal to detect small leaks during the cold-start evap diagnostic and to time the canister purge cycle during normal driving. A failed sensor commonly triggers P0451, P0452, P0453, or P0496 codes and may set the check engine light without other driveability symptoms. The factory sensor uses Ford's specified pressure range and response curve; non-OEM sensors in this fitment frequently use a generic curve that triggers false leak codes after a few drive cycles. Replace the rubber grommet seal at the sensor port whenever the sensor is changed, since a slow vacuum leak at that joint mimics a failing sensor and undoes the repair. Sold individually. Order the matching purge solenoid if the original has the same age and mileage, since the two components share environmental exposure and tend to fail in the same service window.
