• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford vapor canister purge solenoid valve for 18-25 F-150 equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine, also serving Ranger 2.7L MY24 and Explorer 3.0L PIU MY25 applications. The solenoid is the EVAP-system valve that opens under PCM control to draw stored fuel vapor from the charcoal canister into the intake manifold to be combusted with the normal fuel charge. It mounts on or near the intake manifold of the 2.7L engine and uses the captive Ford connector for power and ground. A stuck purge valve is a common contributor to evap codes, to small fuel trim drift, and in stuck-open cases to rough idle when residual hydrocarbons are pulled into the manifold at cold start. The OEM service solenoid installs without modification, replacing the original at the engineered bracket location with the same harness connector. Clear stored evap fault codes after installation, run the evap monitor under the published drive cycle, and verify clean idle behavior at cold start so the engine confirms the new valve has restored normal vapor metering.
