This is the Genuine Ford serpentine accessory drive belt for 18-25 F-150 with the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine in the dual-alternator configuration. The belt is a multi-rib elastomer-cord belt sized to the exact wrap geometry of the 5.0L Coyote front accessory drive when a second alternator is fitted, routing power from the crankshaft pulley across both alternators, the water pump, AC compressor, and tensioner. Heavy-duty and upfitter packages on these trucks often use the dual-alt setup to support added electrical load, and the corresponding belt is longer and routed differently than the standard single-alternator belt. Mismatching belts can lead to noise, premature wear, and dropped belts under load. This OEM belt is the correct service item for the dual-alternator front end and installs with the engine cool, the tensioner relaxed using the Ford-published technique, and the routing taken from the engine bay diagram. Inspect tensioner and idler bearings for noise or play, and replace any pulley that no longer spins freely at the same service so that the new belt is not loaded against a failing component.
