This genuine Ford connector hose is an evaporative emissions (EVAP) system component for the 2018 through 2025 F-150, cataloged by Ford as a connecting hose that links the fuel vapor line to the fuel tank pressure sensor circuit. Within the sealed EVAP system it carries fuel vapor and reference pressure between the tank, the sensor, and the vapor management plumbing so the engine control module can monitor system integrity and route captured vapor to be burned rather than vented to atmosphere. When the hose cracks, hardens, or its connectors lose their seal the system develops a small or large evaporative leak, which typically triggers the check engine light with EVAP leak codes, a fuel odor, or a failed emissions test.
