  This is the Genuine Ford right-bank timing chain guide for the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine in 18-25 F-150 and 18-23 Mustang. The part is the fixed guide that the chain rides against on the passenger side of the front timing cover, holding the chain path along its tensioned run and stabilizing the cam phaser drive across all engine speeds. Guide construction is a hardened polymer wear face molded over a steel back, profiled to match the chain side plate geometry so that wear is uniform along the length rather than concentrated at one location. Coyote guides are durable but not permanent. A guide that has lost its wear face along the bottom edge, cracked at a fastener boss, or worn to where the steel back is contacting the chain is a known cause of timing component noise and of phaser correlation faults.
