  This is a genuine Ford power steering pressure hose for 18-25 F-250 Super Duty trucks equipped with 6.2L, 6.7L Power Stroke, 6.8L, or 7.3L engines and the 6R140 or 10R140 automatic transmission. The hose carries pressurized hydraulic fluid from the power steering pump to the steering gear, allowing the driver to provide steering inputs at reduced effort. Common failure modes include external leakage at the crimp fittings (visible fluid weeping or dripping), internal hose layer separation that restricts flow, cracking from age or heat exposure near the exhaust, and chafing damage where the hose contacts other components. Symptoms include power steering fluid loss requiring frequent top-off, hard steering effort when fluid is low, whining noise from the power steering pump, and visible fluid puddle under the front of the truck.
