This clutch flywheel bolt is the dealer service fastener for 18-25 Mustang equipped with the 5.0L Coyote Gen 3 engine. The bolt set attaches the flywheel to the crankshaft flange on manual-transmission vehicles, providing the rotating mass for the clutch system. Bolts are torque-to-yield and intended for single-use installation; once tightened they have stretched beyond their elastic limit and must not be reused. Any job that involves clutch service, flywheel resurfacing or replacement, or rear main seal access requires new bolts. The flywheel uses a hex-head pattern of bolts and the complete set is ordered together. Installation follows Ford's specified torque-and-angle sequence with a thread sealant where called out in the service procedure. Skipping the angle step or reusing the originals leads to flywheel-to-crank separation under torque load, which is catastrophic for the driveline. This is a consumable fastener; order the full set required for the job rather than relying on used bolts.
