  This is the trailer hitch / tow bar assembly for 2019 through 2023 Ford Ranger trucks equipped with the higher of the two factory tow packages, Tow Package 2. It supersedes the earlier KB3Z-17D826-D and is the current authorized Ford service piece for Tow Pkg 2 Rangers. The hitch is the rear receiver bar that mounts to the frame and integrates with the rear bumper. Use this part when the original is bent, cracked, or damaged from a heavy tow event or rear-end contact. Tow Package 2 trucks are factory-rated for higher trailer weights than Tow Package 1 trucks, and the two packages use different receiver bars; do not substitute the Pkg 1 receiver (KB3Z-17D826-G) on a Pkg 2 truck or vice versa, because the wiring harness routing, the bumper step pad, and the towing capacity are all tied to the matching tow package.
