• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford air cleaner outlet tube, also called the inlet tube on the throttle body side, designed to carry filtered intake air from the air cleaner box to the throttle body of the 19-23 Transit Connect equipped with the 2.0L gasoline engine. The tube supersedes the earlier KV6Z-9C675-B in the same family and is the current OEM service replacement on the duct between the airbox outlet and the throttle inlet. Owners reach for this part when an under-hood inspection reveals a split along the convoluted bellows section, a crack at one of the molded mounting tabs, or a torn sensor port that lets unmetered air enter the intake tract downstream of the MAF sensor. Symptoms of a compromised inlet tube include rough idle, a check engine light with lean fuel trim codes, a whistling intake noise during throttle tip-in, and inconsistent throttle response under light cruise. The tube is molded to factory tolerances with the correct branch lines and sensor ports for the 2.0L PCV and crankcase ventilation routing, so installation drops in without modification when the original clamps and quick-connect couplings are reused or replaced. Always inspect the throttle body sealing surface and the airbox outlet boss for cracks or sealant residue before fitting the replacement, since a leak at either end will not be solved by a new center section. Torque the clamp screws to the listed inch-pound specification and re-route the wiring harness clips that retain the tube to the strut tower bracket to prevent fatigue cracking from vibration.
