• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford automatic transmission output shaft seal used across 19-24 Ford Edge, F-150 Lightning, Transit Connect, Bronco Sport, and Lincoln Nautilus applications. The seal sits at the front or rear drive unit output and prevents transmission or transfer case fluid from migrating along the shaft. It is supplied as the original equipment seal that ships with each new drive unit, and as such it is the correct service replacement whenever a unit is opened. Construction is a lipped seal with a metal carrier sized to the housing bore, with the proper sealing compound at the shaft contact surface to handle the rotational speed and temperature of the application. Replacement is appropriate after a slow seep at the output shaft, after differential or driveline service that disturbs the seal, or as a wear item during major transmission work. Install with the housing bore clean, the seal lip lightly lubricated with the published fluid, the seal seated square in the bore using the proper driver, and the shaft polished free of any scoring before the new seal is exposed to rotation.
