This Genuine Ford EGR Vacuum Control, also referred to in the Ford catalog as the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Control valve, fits 2.3L EcoBoost applications across the 19-25 Ford Bronco, 20-25 Explorer, and 19-25 Ranger. The unit manages the vacuum or electrical actuation signal that opens and closes the EGR valve under the powertrain control module's command, completing the actuation chain between the PCM and the valve itself. Replacement is common when the engine logs an EGR position or flow code that has not been resolved by replacing the EGR valve, when the unit develops a vacuum leak, or when the actuator linkage becomes sticky from soot ingress. Whenever this unit is removed, inspect the EGR tube and the EGR cooler at the same service so that any related soot deposits or cracked gaskets are addressed together. Install with new gaskets and torque the mounting hardware in the sequence the service manual calls out, then clear the EGR-related DTCs and command the valve through its full range with a scan tool to confirm correct response.
