• Description:

  This Genuine Ford EGR Cooler Gasket, the -C variant, fits 2.3L EcoBoost applications across the 19-25 Ford Bronco, 20-25 Explorer, and 19-25 Ranger as the companion sealing item to the -B gasket in the EGR cooler joint group. Like the -B gasket, the -C is a one-time-use consumable and must be replaced whenever the EGR cooler is removed from the engine. The two gaskets seal different ports of the cooler and are not interchangeable; substituting one for the other will not seal the joint correctly. The gasket retains exhaust gas pressure on the EGR side and coolant pressure on the water-jacket side, keeping the two streams separate. Reused gaskets fail after the first heat cycle, producing either external weeping at the joint or internal coolant migration into the EGR stream, with corresponding diagnostic codes. Install dry, no sealant, and torque the EGR cooler mounting hardware in the cross pattern called out in the Ford service procedure. Replace both -B and -C gaskets together rather than only one when the cooler is serviced.
