The 8F35 is the eight-speed front-wheel-drive automatic transmission that Ford uses in this segment, and its internal components share engineering with the GM 9T50, 9T60, and 9T65 family on the same architecture. This part is one of the precision-machined service replacements supplied by Ford for rebuild work on the 8F35, sized and finished to the engineered clearance for assembly with new friction packs, seal rings, and the published torque and clearance specifications. Replacement is appropriate as part of a transmission rebuild where the original is found scored, worn, or out of spec. Install in clean ATF on all sealing and sliding surfaces, follow the Ford-published assembly procedure and torque sequence, and complete the post-rebuild adaptive learn after the trans is back in the vehicle so the controller maps shift quality against the freshly assembled set.
