This sensor fits 19-25 Ford Bronco, 17-25 F-150, 18-25 Mustang, 19-25 Ranger, 20-25 Transit (all with 10R80), plus 23-25 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty (10R100), 23-25 F-450 and F-550 Super Duty (10R140), plus 20-25 Lincoln Aviator and 18-25 Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The part supersedes earlier service number HL3P-7H141-AB. The TFT sensor provides the transmission control module with real-time transmission fluid temperature data, which is used for adaptive shift point control, torque converter lockup scheduling, and thermal protection logic. Replacement is appropriate when the sensor reports out-of-range temperature values, when the transmission enters a limp-home mode due to TFT signal loss, or as part of a complete transmission service. Installation requires careful handling of the sensor probe and torque to the factory specification at the mounting boss.
