This is the pinion oil seal for 2019 through 2025 Ford Ranger, 2021 through 2024 Ford Bronco, and certain 2017 through current Ford F-250 / F-350 Super Duty applications. The seal sits between the pinion yoke and the differential housing and prevents axle gear oil from leaking out around the pinion shaft. Use this part when the original seal is weeping or actively leaking, which is usually accompanied by an oil film on the differential nose and (in extreme cases) low gear oil level. Note that the same part number is listed across multiple platforms because the seal dimensions and the pinion yoke geometry are common to these axles. Confirm against your specific VIN and axle application before ordering, and verify with the dealer that your truck's differential uses the KB3Z-4676 family seal rather than a related-but-different axle seal. This is a genuine Ford OEM piece. Service notes: this is a one-time-use seal; do not attempt to reseat a removed seal. The pinion nut must be removed and the pinion preload must be carefully recovered when the seal is replaced.
