This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor carrying part number LC3Z-9F472-G, fitting 20-22 F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 7.3L Godzilla gas V8, in the front upper sensor position with multi-position application across left front, left upper, right front, and right upper diagram callouts up to production cutoff date 06/15/2020. This part supersedes the earlier DY1571, DY1670, LC3Z-9F472-C, and LC3Z-9F472-F. The HEGO sensor monitors exhaust oxygen content upstream of the catalytic converter and feeds the closed-loop fuel trim strategy in the powertrain control module. Common failure modes include heater circuit failure that takes the sensor out of closed loop on cold start, contamination from silicate or coolant exposure that poisons the sensing element, and connector corrosion. Symptoms include P013x, P014x, or P0420 series fault codes, reduced fuel economy, and rough cold-start running. Replace as a pair when possible to maintain balanced bank trim. Use anti-seize sparingly on the threads only and torque to specification; over-torque commonly damages the sensor body. Sold individually. Backed by Ford's OEM parts limited warranty.
