  This Genuine Ford Rear Lamp Bracket, the -D companion to the -C in the LC3Z-14D189 family, mounts the opposite-side rear tail lamp housing to the body of 20-22 Ford F-250 SD and F-350 SD trucks. Like the -C, the -D bracket carries the lamp's locating pins or studs and provides the rigid attachment that keeps the assembly aimed correctly and prevents vibration. Because the -C and -D are sided companions in the same diagram family, ordering by suffix to match the affected side is important; the brackets are not interchangeable left for right. Replacement is common after rear collision repair, after corrosion has weakened the original mount, or when the tail lamp service exposes a cracked bracket. After installation, torque the bracket hardware to the Ford-specified value, reinstall the tail lamp against the bracket pins or studs, and confirm the lamp sits flush against the rear quarter with no rocking or movement. A road test at moderate speed will reveal any residual rattle or rocking that warrants further inspection.
