• Description:

  This genuine Ford A/C compressor assembly is the belt-driven pump at the heart of the air conditioning system, drawing low pressure refrigerant vapor from the evaporator through the suction line, compressing it, and delivering hot high pressure refrigerant to the condenser so heat can be rejected before the refrigerant expands and cools the cabin again. The Ford catalog name is Compressor Assembly, and the unit is supplied complete with its electromagnetic clutch, pulley and coil so the drive engagement hardware does not have to be transferred from the failed compressor. Verified fitment covers the Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty as well as the Transit-250 van in the 2020 through 2022 window. Compressors fail from bearing wear, clutch coil burnout, internal seizure and shaft seal leakage. Symptoms include air conditioning that blows warm, a clutch that will not engage or that cycles rapidly, a squealing or growling noise from the front of the engine that changes when the air conditioning is switched on, a seized pulley that shreds or throws the accessory belt, and refrigerant loss at the shaft seal.
