  This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM viscous fan clutch carrying part number LC3Z-8A616-E, fitting 20-22 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel in the dual rear wheel chassis configuration. This part supersedes the earlier LC3Z-8A616-A. The fan clutch couples the engine-driven cooling fan to the water pump shaft using an internal silicone viscous fluid that engages and disengages based on coil temperature and powertrain control module commands. The DRW variant carries higher torque capacity and modified engagement profile to handle the larger cooling load typical of dually configurations carrying heavy upfit, fifth wheel, or gooseneck trailers. Installing the SRW variant LC3Z-8A616-D on a DRW chassis will result in inadequate cooling under heavy towing conditions; verify dual rear wheel configuration by VIN before ordering. Fan clutch failure typically presents as overheating under load, fan that fails to engage at idle in hot weather, or audible fan roar that does not modulate with temperature. Replacement requires the proper fan clutch wrench and torque to specification using the reverse-thread fitting on the water pump shaft. Sold individually.
