This genuine Ford front wheel bearing and hub assembly is a sealed unit-bearing that carries the front wheel on 2020 through 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty trucks. It combines the wheel mounting flange, a lubricated-for-life bearing, the preload seals, and the integral ABS wheel speed sensor and tone ring in one serviceable module bolted to the steering knuckle. The bearing supports the truck's front load while allowing the wheel to spin freely, and the built-in sensor feeds wheel speed to the anti-lock brake, traction, and stability control systems. Buyers usually replace a hub when they hear a cyclic humming, growling, or grinding that rises with vehicle speed or changes when cornering, when the ABS or traction control warning light comes on, when there is play or roughness felt at the wheel, or when there is vibration, a rough ride, or uneven tire wear. A failed wheel speed sensor inside the hub can also set wheel-speed fault codes. The hub retaining nut and the mounting bolts are single-use torque-to-yield fasteners and must be replaced with new hardware and torqued to Ford specification whenever the hub is removed.
