  This is the genuine Ford engine oil filler cap, equivalent to Motorcraft EC-796, for the 2020-2022 Ford Mustang using the 5W-50 full synthetic specification, which is the supercharged 5.2L Shelby GT500 application. The cap threads into the valve cover oil fill opening and seals the top of the engine, keeping pressurized crankcase vapors and oil inside while blocking dirt and moisture from entering, and its integrated gasket maintains that seal as the engine heats and cools. The cap is stamped with the required oil viscosity so the correct grade is used at every service.
