This Genuine Ford transmission pump seal fits 20-22 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 10R140 ten-speed automatic transmission. The pump seal isolates the front of the transmission case from external fluid leakage at the torque converter neck and supports the converter hub against the pump body. A failed pump seal allows transmission fluid to weep out the front of the bellhousing, often mistaken for a rear main engine oil leak, and lowers fluid level until shift quality degrades. Seal failure can result from converter hub wear, debris contamination, or simple age-related elastomer hardening. Always inspect the converter hub for grooves or scoring before reinstalling the converter; a worn hub will quickly destroy a new seal. non-OEM seals sometimes use the wrong lip geometry or material, leading to early leakage. This Genuine Ford seal is sized to factory specification. Install using the correct driver to avoid lip damage, lubricate the lip with clean specified transmission fluid before assembly, and verify proper converter engagement to the pump drive before bolting up the transmission.
