• Description:

  This Genuine Ford oil and air separator assembly fits 20-22 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine, in the variant with single rear wheels, vacuum pump and hoses. It is a service supersession that consolidates the earlier LC3Z-6A785-A and LC3Z-6A785-B part numbers. The oil and air separator captures engine blow-by gases from the crankcase, separates oil mist and water vapor from the gas flow, and routes the cleaned gases back to the intake while returning the captured oil to the crankcase, controlling oil consumption and intake fouling. A failed separator causes excessive oil consumption, oily residue in the intake tract, smoking under acceleration, and engine codes that reference the crankcase ventilation circuit. non-OEM separators commonly use inferior internal element construction. This OEM separator ships preassembled with the correct hose nipples and mounting hardware. Replace any O-rings and gaskets at the mounting flange and hose connections, route hoses clear of heat sources, then clear codes and verify intake vacuum behavior after installation.
