This Genuine Ford radiator hose D-variant fits 20-22 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine and serves a different cooling system position from the -A upper hose. The 6.7L Power Stroke uses multiple cooling circuits and a network of molded hoses to route coolant between the engine, radiator, charge air aftercooler, and secondary loops; each position uses a hose with specific bend pattern, end fittings, and reinforcement. Substituting a generic hose can cause kinking, chafing against nearby components, or improper sealing at the clamps. The elastomer construction is matched to engine coolant and underhood temperatures, with reinforcement to resist collapse under pressure cycling. non-OEM hoses sometimes miss the correct bend pattern or use lower-grade elastomers that swell or harden prematurely. This Genuine Ford hose is preformed to factory routing. Replace the clamps with new where specified, refill and bleed the cooling system using the published procedure, and verify no leaks or air entrapment after the engine reaches full operating temperature.
