  This Genuine Ford air conditioning suction hose fits 20-22 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks built from 06/03/20 with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. It supersedes the earlier -AC suffix and crosses to YF-38281. The suction hose returns low-pressure refrigerant vapor from the evaporator outlet back to the compressor inlet, completing the closed loop of the climate system. The hose carries integrated quick-connect fittings, a service port, and a barrier liner designed to retain modern refrigerant without permeation losses over time. non-OEM hoses often miss the correct port placement, barrier construction, or end-fitting orientation, leading to slow leaks, low cooling performance, and repeat repairs. This OEM hose is preformed to the factory routing and uses captive O-rings sized for the specific connection. Recover refrigerant before disconnecting, replace the O-rings at every connection, torque the line nuts and bolt-on flanges to the published specification, then evacuate the system to deep vacuum and recharge with the specified refrigerant weight and PAG oil. The receiver drier or accumulator and the orifice tube should be replaced whenever the system has been opened for an extended period or contamination is suspected.
