• Description:

  This Genuine Ford air conditioning compressor clutch and pulley fits 20-22 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. It is included when a full LC3Z-19703-G compressor assembly is purchased, but is also sold separately for clutch service. The part supersedes the earlier -AB suffix and crosses to YB-3292. The clutch engages and disengages the pulley to the compressor shaft on command from the powertrain control module, modulating system pressure and cooling load. The pulley rides on a sealed bearing and runs continuously off the accessory drive belt whenever the engine is running; bearing seal failure or coil winding faults are common reasons for clutch service before the compressor itself wears out. non-OEM clutches frequently use undersized bearings or weak coils that fail soon after installation. This Genuine Ford unit ships preassembled with the clutch hub, drive plate, pulley, and field coil aligned to factory specification. Use the correct shim pack at installation to set the air gap, torque the shaft nut to the published specification, and verify clutch engagement and current draw before returning the truck to service.
