  This is a genuine Ford front drive shaft boot kit for 20-23 Explorer, 20-23 Aviator, and 20-23 Police Interceptor Utility builds, supplied with the boot, the matching boot clamps, and the correct CV grease packet needed for a complete inner joint reseal job. The kit covers the inner front halfshaft joint position and is the assembly Ford specifies for service when only the boot has failed and the constant velocity joint itself remains in serviceable condition. Technicians reach for this kit when an inspection finds a torn or weeping inner boot before joint contamination has occurred, during a halfshaft service that requires fresh boot hardware on reassembly, or whenever the original boot has reached end of life from age or chemical exposure. Removing the boot stretches the rubber past its installed shape and the clamps are constant-tension single-use designs, so reusing original boot hardware will not deliver the seal pressure needed to keep grease inside the joint or contamination out. Pack the joint with the supplied grease amount per the Ford service procedure, work the joint through its articulation range to distribute lubricant before final closing, secure the new boot with the supplied clamps using the correct boot clamp tool, and verify both clamps seat fully without rolling. Pair with fresh lock ring and seal at the inner stub if those components were disturbed, and torque all suspension fasteners to specification during reassembly to preserve alignment geometry.
