• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford OEM blind spot radar sensor for the 20-23 Ford Explorer Blind Spot Information System, used at the left, right, and rear sensor positions depending on the build. The sensor is a short-range radar module that monitors adjacent lanes and rear approach zones, communicating threat presence over the vehicle CAN bus to the driver information cluster and the side mirror BLIS lamps. As an OEM Ford sensor the radar transceiver, frequency band, and module identifier are calibrated for the Explorer body geometry and the factory bracket mounting position behind the rear bumper or fender. non-OEM BLIS sensors typically cannot communicate with the Ford BdyCM and IPMA modules and will set persistent DTCs even when physically installed. Replacement may require module configuration through Ford IDS or FDRS to register the new sensor with the vehicle, particularly when replacing a corner sensor. Confirm the position and the original sensor location before ordering; the same part services multiple corners but must be coded for its specific location.
