  This genuine Ford accelerator pedal is a complete drive-by-wire pedal assembly with an integrated pedal travel position sensor that converts how far the driver presses the pedal into a voltage signal the powertrain control module uses to command throttle. It fits 2020-2024 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and Police Interceptor Utility, and Ford supplies the sensor together with the pedal as a single serviceable unit. A driver who needs this part is often experiencing a check engine light with accelerator pedal position sensor codes, unexpected reduced-power or limp-home mode, throttle hesitation or surging, a no-response condition where the engine will not rev with the pedal, or an intermittent wandering idle traced to a noisy or drifting pedal signal.
