This is a genuine Ford OEM passenger side front wheel arch molding for the 20-24 Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility, for configurations without the auto-park feature. This part supersedes earlier suffixes LB5Z-16038-AA and LB5Z-16038-AB and is the current service part. The molding wraps the upper edge of the front wheel opening and provides the textured black trim transition between the painted fender and the tire cavity, while also serving to shed road spray and protect the lower body paint from stone chips. As an OEM Ford part the molding carries the correct factory clip pattern and surface texture for a flush installation against the fender lip. non-OEM wheel arch trims in this position commonly leave gaps at the front and rear of the arch, or detach with weather cycling as the OEM clip retention is not matched. Confirm auto-park equipment before ordering as auto-park configurations use a different arch molding accommodating the additional sensor wiring.
