  This Genuine Ford air conditioning compressor with clutch fits 20-24 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. It supersedes earlier AE, C, D, and E suffixes and carries cross references YCC-602, YCC-613, and YCC-629. The compressor is the heart of the climate control system, drawing low-pressure refrigerant from the evaporator and discharging high-pressure vapor to the condenser, where heat is rejected and the refrigerant condenses to liquid before returning through the expansion valve. non-OEM compressors often suffer from poor clutch coil quality, weak shaft seals, and out-of-spec swash plate angles that cause premature failure. This Motorcraft-grade unit ships with the correct clutch, pulley, and field coil assembly preinstalled and tested to factory specification, so installation is straightforward once the system is recovered, evacuated, and recharged with the correct refrigerant charge. Use only the specified PAG oil and observe the system oil balance procedure when replacing the compressor, condenser, or accumulator. The receiver drier or accumulator and the orifice tube or expansion device should be replaced any time the system is opened for compressor service.
