• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford high pressure direct injection fuel pump for the 1.5L EcoBoost three-cylinder engine in 20-25 Bronco Sport and Escape vehicles. The pump is mechanically driven by a lobe on the camshaft and pressurizes fuel to between 200 and 2900 psi for delivery to the direct injectors, which spray fuel directly into the combustion chamber. Common failure modes include internal piston wear that reduces output pressure, check valve failure, regulator electrical failure, and seal leakage at the pump housing. Symptoms include extended cranking, hard hot start, rough idle, loss of power under acceleration, misfire codes, fuel rail pressure codes such as P0087 or P0088, and a check engine light. The 1.5L EcoBoost pump is positioned on top of the cylinder head and is driven through a roller follower against the camshaft lobe. Replacement requires inspection of the follower and lobe for wear, since a worn follower can damage the new pump.
